"The only thing I can compare it to is when Leo was in 'Titanic,' " she told MTV News while promoting her upcoming movie "How Do You Know." "It was that kind of fervor about a person. The women lining up outside the set — it was just unbelievable — till 5 o'clock in the morning waiting to just glimpse him."

The Tennessee set of "Water for Elephants" was basically no different than what happens when the "Twilight" vamp goes anywhere. As director Francis Lawrence told us in the fall, "[E]very day there would be, like, 50 people [staked out] ... . [T]here would be people camped out in the hallways of our hotel. All day, all night long, it didn't matter. People were there to try to catch a glimpse."

Witherspoon, of course, got an up-close-and-personal glimpse of RPattz, and she was happy to report back to us: "He is extraordinarily attractive. I'm not gonna lie," she said.

"Robert is such a great guy from a great family," she explained. "That's the thing that's so funny. He's not really this bad boy; he's just a great guy and really worked hard on 'Water for Elephants.' He really worked long hours, long days. He looks totally different in the movie."

'Eclipse' DVD Countdown: Edward And Jacob Are The No. 5 Reason

As you all know, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" DVD is coming out this Friday at midnight finally, and we couldn't be more excited. To help get us hyped for all those extra hours we get to spend with Bella, Edward and Jacob—now in the privacy of our own homes—we've decided to post a different reason we're excited for the release every day this week. We're kicking it off with the reason we love "Eclipse" the most of all the "Twilight Saga" flicks: more Edward and Jacob.

If "Twilight" was all about introducing us to our love for Edward Cullen, and "New Moon"'s main purpose was to make us question whether we should instead be falling for Jacob Black, then "Eclipse" is here to let us know that, unlike Bella, we can have them both. And Summit Entertainment is making it easy for us by having "Edward Fast-Forward" and "Jacob Fast-Forward" features on the DVD that allow us to—you guessed it—fast-forward to our favorite Edward and Jacob scenes.

Our favorite Edward scene is definitely the sleepover. How could it not be? We could watch that make out session and the leg hitch on repeat for hours. I mean, Bella's face is kind of covered, so it makes it easier to pretend that we're the girl Edward is macking on. That meadow scene is a close second though, made all the more special by the fact that it's the first scene we were teased with so long ago.

Fortunately for all you Jacob lovers out there, Edward isn't the only one getting some quality Bella time. How could we forget that first kiss in La Push (and the intense confrontation afterward), or their last kiss up on the mountain? That's plenty to swoon over by itself. Yet, in proper werewolf fashion, Jacob is shirtless for a majority of this film, often with his fellow wolves half-naked surrounding him, which gets us swooning even more. We definitely have a soft spot for pretty boys.

I think most "Twilight" fans would agree, though, that one of the best scenes in "Eclipse" includes both Edward and Jacob, so it should make it to all of our jump-to lists. I'm of course referring to "the tent scene," also known as "the hottest night on the coldest mountain ever." That's a sexually tense moment I'm sure we're all grateful we'll have on DVD.

Roberts Pattinson talks about Bel Ami, Water for Elephants, and to play Kurt Cobain in the Nirvana movie?

Have your mates ever called you Edward by mistake?People have called me Edward – not family, that would be weird! My mates might have done it to rib me. They don’t really know about Twilight, but some of them found out about this R-Pattz thing, so now one of them always calls me R-Pattz, which he thinks is hilarious.

Edward can read thoughts. If we could hear your thoughts, what would they sound like?Complete silence, dust blowing in the wind. Or maybe just like white noise…

What aspects of Edward do you most identify with?It’s changed a bit in this film. In the first two, I guess there was his feeling that you can’t relate to anyone, or no one can relate to you. I was like, ’I never want to talk to anyone’. I used to feel like that when I was younger. I’ve grown up now.

Are you a traditionalist, like Edward?It is quite pronounced in the movie, and I respect that, but when I work on other films, I want to play really amoral characters. I don’t feel like I have to stand by his values, but I respect them. I guess courtship is a good thing, but only if it’s pleasurable. Some people meet each other in a bar and sleep with each other that night, then stay with each other for the rest of their lives. Or they could stay with each other and never get married. It just doesn’t make any difference.

You definitely play an amoral character in your next film, Bel Ami.Yes. There’s something fun about Bel Ami, going from Edward to some guy who pretty much abuses women to get money out of them. Edward so wouldn’t approve – and I thought that was a funny irony. In Bel Ami all the women my character screws over are all attracted to him to begin with, so he starts having affairs with them and destroys their lives.

You are much less intense than Edward, clearly…I don’t know, I guess in a lot of ways. I think the main thing is he’s very extreme in his way of thinking, and I’m not like that. I don’t think in such absolutes, like ’I can’t be with this girlfriend, I’m going to kill myself!’ It’s quite a teenage thing.

Can you go out anywhere without being mobbed?In LA, sometimes I can. I wish I still had the beard I wore for Bel Ami. It was a good disguise. But LA is definitely harder than London, although London’s changed recently. The good thing about Britain in that respect is that people are often too embarrassed to come and say stuff. They’re embarrassed to have even seen you. I used to go into the same HMV shop all the time and they had New Moon posters everywhere, and I was worried I’d get stalked, but the guys at the counter would not even look at me, even though there were posters everywhere.

How hard is it to dodge the paps in London?I can’t believe I was photographed recently going to buy underpants with my best friend in Marks & Spencer. They were 5ft away – we were going to have this nice little day, and they photographed me buying underpants!

So you can laugh it off?Yeah, the only time things matter is when people start calling my family for stories. That gets in the way. 99 per cent of stuff is just made up. The thing is, the more stuff is reported, the more it starts to affect your career. If you’re constantly in gossip magazines people think, ’He’s not a proper actor, he’s just a gossip person.’

Do you want to step out of the limelight?I want to produce a film. It would be so satisfying to turn up to work and not have to go into costume or make-up. You stand behind the monitor and don’t even have the responsibility of the director.

You recently said you think you might be dead by 30. What was that about?I was talking about luck running out. When I was doing interviews for Harry Potter, I was thinking, ’I don’t want this to be all the luck in my life.’ So now I’m getting ridiculously lucky and I wonder if I might suffer some punishment at the hands of the universe and be dead by the time I’m 30. I like to believe in fate, so I’m not responsible for anything!

You’re working with animals on Water For Elephants. How’s that?Almost every day I’m working with an exotic animal; there are scenes where I’m leading buffalo and elephants into cages. It’s insane, like I got bitten on the arm by a lion with no teeth. They were like, ’It’s fine, he does it all the time.’ And I was like, ’Erm, OK…’ But they had to get him to do it harder, because he was being so gentle and just licking my arm.

Is it true you’re going to play Kurt Cobain in the Nirvana movie?Sometimes these things just appear. I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much – I’d be embarrassed. And you see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying ’What the f*ck! He’s totally wrong for it’, and I’m like, ’I f*cking said no, you d*ck!’ I didn’t get offered it. For one thing, I’m too tall, and I can’t sing like him, I’m nothing like him!’ It’s ridiculous.

DID YOU KNOW?Rob hired Lady GaGa’s trainer to get in shape for the film. We still don’t think he’s as buff as Taylor, but he’s got a lovely (Poker) Face.

'Eclipse' Rises $30 million on its Midnight Launch

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse ripped into the record books with its midnight launch, grossing over $30 million at more than 4,000 theaters. That surpassed The Twilight Saga: New Moon's previous benchmark of $26.3 million. Included in Eclipse's sum was a new IMAX midnight milestone of over $1 million at 192 venues, topping Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen's $959,000.

Additionally, the first Twilight and New Moon were re-issued as a one-off, pre-Eclipse double-feature Thursday night at 2,037 theaters and made $2.4 million. Previously, Twilight took in $1.3 million in its re-issue the night before New Moon's opening.

Casting the widest opening net ever, Eclipse bit into a whopping 4,416 locations on Wednesday (more theaters are expected to be added on Friday). Iron Man 2 previously held that title with 4,380 locations, while Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince holds the overall record for highest location count ever at 4,455. Eclipse's count includes 193 IMAX venues, which is just shy of Shrek Forever After's 194 record. Eclipse's overall screen count, though, is estimated at 7,600, which is far from a new high.

Though it may have fewer screens than New Moon's estimated 8,500 due to a more competitive market, Eclipse is packing more than enough showings to satisfy demand over the Independence Day holiday session, which will span six days, from Wednesday through Monday. New Moon shattered the opening day record last November, grossing $72.7 million in its Friday debut (which included its $26.3 million midnight start), and had racked up $178.9 million through its sixth day. It flamed out quickly and ultimately tallied $296.6 million, greatly improving on the first Twilight's already stellar $192.8 million. Due to burning off demand on Wednesday and Thursday and other factors, Eclipse is not likely to top New Moon's $142.8 million opening weekend.

The last time Independence Day fell on a Sunday was in 2004. Spider-Man 2 was the hotly-anticipated release, and it broke the holiday record, one that stands to this day. Its Wednesday, June 30, opening day came in at $40.4 million, or the equivalent of around $52 million adjusted for ticket price inflation. By its sixth day, it had pulled in $180.1 million, or more than $230 million adjusted. Its predecessor, Spider-Man, was a far superior blockbuster to New Moon, and there had been a two-year wait, not seven months like for Eclipse.

With franchises performing at these lofty levels, comparisons are hard to come by. The other key current franchise with a literary basis, Harry Potter, shifted from November to the summer for its third entry, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (though it had a year and a half wait after the second movie). It scored a then series high opening gross, but wound up being the lowest-grossing entry, despite being based on a fan favorite book, like Eclipse.

Should Eclipse exceed New Moon in the long run, it would buck the trend of closely-timed serialized sequels, joining the ranks of the exceptionally-performing Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings franchises. When a second movie explodes with anticipation after the first movie's success, a certain amount of disappointment is inevitable and it becomes incredibly difficult for the third movie to maintain the momentum, especially when it hasn't had the time to stock more pent-up demand. That's how The Matrix and Pirates of the Caribbean series played out.

Summit Entertainment hasn't rested on its laurels, which is evident from the number of theaters they secured as well as a marketing campaign that has upped the action ante, suggesting that what was set up in the first two movies is finally coming to a head. On Wednesday, Summit said that they were expecting Eclipse to gross $150 million in its first six days (and it has already met a fifth of that expectation from its initial midnight showings alone), including $60 million for the Friday-to-Sunday period. Females both young and old are predictably the driving force, and Summit reported that male interest is about the same as it was for New Moon.

With Box Office Mojo readers, Eclipse has not fared as well as New Moon: 26.6 percent of respondents voted to see Eclipse in its opening versus 32.1 percent for New Moon at the same point (though results may be skewed due to Eclipse's Wednesday start). Anticipation may have been lowered by the reception to New Moon: Box Office Mojo readers graded New Moon a "C+," compared to the first Twilight's "B," while the IMDb User Rating for New Moon was 4.6 (out of 10), compared to 5.7 for Twilight.

TWILIGHT Fans are allowed to begin lining up at NOKIA PLAZA L.A. LIVE no earlier than 6:00 am on Monday, June 21, 2010.

Overnight camping is allowed in designated areas only, starting in the Nokia Plaza. Please follow all directions advised by L.A. LIVE and Summit security. Please note, that special wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and each fan must be present to receive a wristband. Each wristband will be numbered and reserves a space in the Fan Viewing areas for the Eclipse Red-Carpet arrivals in sequential order. The wristbands DO NOT enable access to the Movie Premiere.

Fans will be asked to change location as Premiere set-up begins on the Nokia Plaza on Wednesday morning June 23rd at 6:00am.
