"The only thing I can compare it to is when Leo was in 'Titanic,' " she told MTV News while promoting her upcoming movie "How Do You Know." "It was that kind of fervor about a person. The women lining up outside the set — it was just unbelievable — till 5 o'clock in the morning waiting to just glimpse him."

The Tennessee set of "Water for Elephants" was basically no different than what happens when the "Twilight" vamp goes anywhere. As director Francis Lawrence told us in the fall, "[E]very day there would be, like, 50 people [staked out] ... . [T]here would be people camped out in the hallways of our hotel. All day, all night long, it didn't matter. People were there to try to catch a glimpse."

Witherspoon, of course, got an up-close-and-personal glimpse of RPattz, and she was happy to report back to us: "He is extraordinarily attractive. I'm not gonna lie," she said.

"Robert is such a great guy from a great family," she explained. "That's the thing that's so funny. He's not really this bad boy; he's just a great guy and really worked hard on 'Water for Elephants.' He really worked long hours, long days. He looks totally different in the movie."

'Eclipse' DVD Countdown: Edward And Jacob Are The No. 5 Reason

As you all know, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" DVD is coming out this Friday at midnight finally, and we couldn't be more excited. To help get us hyped for all those extra hours we get to spend with Bella, Edward and Jacob—now in the privacy of our own homes—we've decided to post a different reason we're excited for the release every day this week. We're kicking it off with the reason we love "Eclipse" the most of all the "Twilight Saga" flicks: more Edward and Jacob.

If "Twilight" was all about introducing us to our love for Edward Cullen, and "New Moon"'s main purpose was to make us question whether we should instead be falling for Jacob Black, then "Eclipse" is here to let us know that, unlike Bella, we can have them both. And Summit Entertainment is making it easy for us by having "Edward Fast-Forward" and "Jacob Fast-Forward" features on the DVD that allow us to—you guessed it—fast-forward to our favorite Edward and Jacob scenes.

Our favorite Edward scene is definitely the sleepover. How could it not be? We could watch that make out session and the leg hitch on repeat for hours. I mean, Bella's face is kind of covered, so it makes it easier to pretend that we're the girl Edward is macking on. That meadow scene is a close second though, made all the more special by the fact that it's the first scene we were teased with so long ago.

Fortunately for all you Jacob lovers out there, Edward isn't the only one getting some quality Bella time. How could we forget that first kiss in La Push (and the intense confrontation afterward), or their last kiss up on the mountain? That's plenty to swoon over by itself. Yet, in proper werewolf fashion, Jacob is shirtless for a majority of this film, often with his fellow wolves half-naked surrounding him, which gets us swooning even more. We definitely have a soft spot for pretty boys.

I think most "Twilight" fans would agree, though, that one of the best scenes in "Eclipse" includes both Edward and Jacob, so it should make it to all of our jump-to lists. I'm of course referring to "the tent scene," also known as "the hottest night on the coldest mountain ever." That's a sexually tense moment I'm sure we're all grateful we'll have on DVD.

Roberts Pattinson talks about Bel Ami, Water for Elephants, and to play Kurt Cobain in the Nirvana movie?

Have your mates ever called you Edward by mistake?People have called me Edward – not family, that would be weird! My mates might have done it to rib me. They don’t really know about Twilight, but some of them found out about this R-Pattz thing, so now one of them always calls me R-Pattz, which he thinks is hilarious.

Edward can read thoughts. If we could hear your thoughts, what would they sound like?Complete silence, dust blowing in the wind. Or maybe just like white noise…

What aspects of Edward do you most identify with?It’s changed a bit in this film. In the first two, I guess there was his feeling that you can’t relate to anyone, or no one can relate to you. I was like, ’I never want to talk to anyone’. I used to feel like that when I was younger. I’ve grown up now.

Are you a traditionalist, like Edward?It is quite pronounced in the movie, and I respect that, but when I work on other films, I want to play really amoral characters. I don’t feel like I have to stand by his values, but I respect them. I guess courtship is a good thing, but only if it’s pleasurable. Some people meet each other in a bar and sleep with each other that night, then stay with each other for the rest of their lives. Or they could stay with each other and never get married. It just doesn’t make any difference.

You definitely play an amoral character in your next film, Bel Ami.Yes. There’s something fun about Bel Ami, going from Edward to some guy who pretty much abuses women to get money out of them. Edward so wouldn’t approve – and I thought that was a funny irony. In Bel Ami all the women my character screws over are all attracted to him to begin with, so he starts having affairs with them and destroys their lives.

You are much less intense than Edward, clearly…I don’t know, I guess in a lot of ways. I think the main thing is he’s very extreme in his way of thinking, and I’m not like that. I don’t think in such absolutes, like ’I can’t be with this girlfriend, I’m going to kill myself!’ It’s quite a teenage thing.

Can you go out anywhere without being mobbed?In LA, sometimes I can. I wish I still had the beard I wore for Bel Ami. It was a good disguise. But LA is definitely harder than London, although London’s changed recently. The good thing about Britain in that respect is that people are often too embarrassed to come and say stuff. They’re embarrassed to have even seen you. I used to go into the same HMV shop all the time and they had New Moon posters everywhere, and I was worried I’d get stalked, but the guys at the counter would not even look at me, even though there were posters everywhere.

How hard is it to dodge the paps in London?I can’t believe I was photographed recently going to buy underpants with my best friend in Marks & Spencer. They were 5ft away – we were going to have this nice little day, and they photographed me buying underpants!

So you can laugh it off?Yeah, the only time things matter is when people start calling my family for stories. That gets in the way. 99 per cent of stuff is just made up. The thing is, the more stuff is reported, the more it starts to affect your career. If you’re constantly in gossip magazines people think, ’He’s not a proper actor, he’s just a gossip person.’

Do you want to step out of the limelight?I want to produce a film. It would be so satisfying to turn up to work and not have to go into costume or make-up. You stand behind the monitor and don’t even have the responsibility of the director.

You recently said you think you might be dead by 30. What was that about?I was talking about luck running out. When I was doing interviews for Harry Potter, I was thinking, ’I don’t want this to be all the luck in my life.’ So now I’m getting ridiculously lucky and I wonder if I might suffer some punishment at the hands of the universe and be dead by the time I’m 30. I like to believe in fate, so I’m not responsible for anything!

You’re working with animals on Water For Elephants. How’s that?Almost every day I’m working with an exotic animal; there are scenes where I’m leading buffalo and elephants into cages. It’s insane, like I got bitten on the arm by a lion with no teeth. They were like, ’It’s fine, he does it all the time.’ And I was like, ’Erm, OK…’ But they had to get him to do it harder, because he was being so gentle and just licking my arm.

Is it true you’re going to play Kurt Cobain in the Nirvana movie?Sometimes these things just appear. I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much – I’d be embarrassed. And you see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying ’What the f*ck! He’s totally wrong for it’, and I’m like, ’I f*cking said no, you d*ck!’ I didn’t get offered it. For one thing, I’m too tall, and I can’t sing like him, I’m nothing like him!’ It’s ridiculous.

Will 'Eclipse' Make 'The Twilight Saga' A Horror Franchise?

After the star-crossed romance of Twilight and the depression that dominated New Moon, will Eclipse finally bring The Twilight Saga into bona fide horror movie territory?

So claims star Robert Pattinson, who told MTV over the weekend that this June's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is different from the first two films in the vampire romance franchise. "It's like a horror film," said Pattinson, with a hint of surprise. And as FEARnet's resident Twilight expert, I'm inclined to agree. With more blood, more action, and more sinister threats closing in on Bella Swan's world, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse could very well be the series installment that earns the teen-friendly franchise its first official horror movie badge of honor.

Sure, Twilight had its villainous vampire showdown, seeding Bella and Edward's "getting to know you" love story with a handful of mysterious "animal attacks" in Forks that culminated in James hunting and attacking Bella. A bit less horror-ific was last year's sequel, New Moon, which spent most of its time on Bella's post-break up moping -- until she, Edward, and Alice found themselves in peril in the subterranean lair of the Volturi for the film's last-act face-off.

But Eclipse is where The Twilight Saga takes a turn for the scary. Yes, yes, the romance and the love triangle are still there to get Team Edward and Team Jacob fans in a tizzy. (Two words: tent scene!) Balancing out Eclipse's heightened romantic stakes, however, is a generous helping of dread in the form of a reckless and dangerous army of newborn vampires created by the vengeful vampire, Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard). Led by Victoria's henchman Riley (The Loved Ones' Xavier Samuel), these newborns are credited with mysterious serial killings that plague Seattle -- and they have only one ultimate objective: kill Bella Swan.
Eclipse director David Slade earned his horror stripes with the cat-and-mouse thriller Hard Candy and the gory vampire flick 30 Days of Night, but here he'll have to keep the scares contained under a PG-13 rating. Judging from clips and trailers, however, Slade's injected his Twilight pic with atmosphere and unsettling imagery that should up the ante; what's more, the film appears to include more of Riley and the newborns than the novel did, including spooky shots of the newborns that appear to come from Stephenie Meyer's new Twilight novella, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.

Many cite Eclipse as the darkest of the Twilight books, and with good reason. The vampire killings in Seattle set the tone from the start, creating a sense of fear and suggesting the frightening potential of a pack of evil vampires let loose in a world where most vampires, even the ones that eat humans, stay mostly under the radar. Tension mounts between the two supernatural families in Bella's life -- the Cullen clan and Jacob's Wolf Pack -- before the mortal enemies join forces for a massive battle in Bella's defense. An unknown vampire intruder breaks into Bella's bedroom, putting her safety even more into question. The threat of Victoria looms, and Bella fears that everyone she loves will be killed. And throughout it all, Bella begs to die and become a vampire herself, despite the pain and suffering she knows is a necessary part of the transformation.
And then there are the flashbacks. We learn why Rosalie's so bitter: she was gang raped and beaten and left for dead, and took bloody revenge on her attackers after being turned into a vampire. Jasper's back story is even more violent. A Confederate soldier, he joined an army of war-mongering Southern vampires and endured decades of vampire bites and injury in battle.

By the next sequel, Breaking Dawn, Bella will be resigned to her fate and we'll get another twist on the genre as Twilight dives headfirst into body horror. But Eclipse is where all hell breaks loose -- with the Volturi, Victoria's blood-crazed newborns, and Bella's complicated love life all threatening to bring her world to the brink of collapse. Here's hoping it's as scary on film as it was on paper.

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Twilight's Justin Chon Reveals Eclipse News

The Twilight Saga has vampires, werewolves and humans. Funny humans. Actor Justin Chon has a sharp sense of humor, and, as he sat down for lunch on Monday at the appropriately named Bella Cucina in Hollywood with RadarOnline.com, he revealed some major scoop about the third Twilight movie Eclipse.

First of all, Justin is heading to Vancouver on Tuesday with Michael Welch, Christian Serratos and Anna Kendrick are "not just going to be in the cafeteria," for all their scenes in Eclipse!

Second, the actor who plays Eric Yorkie always has his script with him and has already memorized all his lines for Eclipse.

Third, just like Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz, he wanted to become a buff 30 pounds heavier for his scene and tease Rob Pattinson in the cafeteria, threatening "Edward, whatcha gonna do now?"

David Slade Talks 'Twilight: Eclipse'

David Slade talks with FearNet about Eclipse.


Twilight: New Moon isn’t even in theatres yet, but we are already gearing up for the third film, Twilight: Eclipse. We crashed a David Slade signing at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California, where he was signing a new line of toys based on 30 Days of Night. “One of the cool things about shooting a movie based on a book is that it is not a film the studio can really change,” he tells us. “Not that the studio would want to change anything, of course!” David promises that they will stick close to the book – there is no sense in changing the story at all.' What will differ about Slade’s Twilight? “I don’t really know. We haven’t even started shooting yet.” While the director says he has a basic idea of what he wants to do with it, he is more concerned with telling a good story than being “different.” “It is darker, and there is a lot more action than the previous two,” he admits. “The third book is from Bella’s point of view, but the film will be more objective.” And just how will he do that? “We are going to focus on the origin stories of several characters, like Jacob, and show how Bella will decide between Edward and Jacob.”

David didn’t read the books until the studio was interested in bringing him in – then he did his homework. “It was tough for a middle-aged man to get into,” he admits, “since they are written for 15-year-old girls. But once I got past that, I found them to be quite good books, and a great story.” He is especially excited about the great script from Dexter writer/producer Melissa Rosenberg. Right now, they are still in preproduction, with plans to start shooting later in the year.

When asked about his list of genre credits (including 30 Days of Night, Hard Candy, and mind-bending music videos for bands such as Aphex Twin, Stone Temple Pilots, and System of a Down), Slade admits to being a genre fan. “How many other chances do you get to create your own world from scratch?” He also tells us: “When I first got cable, I watched FEARnet constantly. I really loved Midnight Meat Train. I wanted to direct it – the studio sent me the script – but in the end I was a little too late.” While nothing post-Eclipse is written in blood, he is looking at a few other projects, all in the horror/fantasty/sci-fi genre.
